Belegarth

One of my passions is Belegarth Medieval Combat Society. It is a medieval combat group that uses boffers instead of Live Steel or Rattan sticks. A lot of people who hear about it at first are kind of bemused by the fact that we hit each other with "foam sticks". And rightly so, for that is what we do for amusement! But it is a sport, there are rules and right now as I'm writing this I am very sore from a long day of fighting yesterday.

Yesterday was my realms ( a realm is a group of people who fight in a certain geographical area)first practice of the year. And as all things go, it snowed and the wind blowed and it was cold. Friday was 52 degrees, all the snow was melts and the wind wasn't blowing. Today is pretty much like Friday. But we fought anyway. We begin the first week in March, rain, snow or shine. But more rain and snow than anything else.

The time to type out that last paragraph did nothing to alleviate my soreness, but I'm happy and looking forward to being sore next week. Does this explain anything about me?!
